V6 ES9J4 Locking pins
Shortly I am about to change the cambelt on my Xantia V6. Can someone tell me the dimension (diameters) of the locking pins? As far as I know two have different diameters through the length...

Re: V6 ES9J4 Locking pins
I can as soon as I'm home Xantos as I have an ES9J4 on the stand right now with cams locked..
I think they're 6mm at a guess..

Re: V6 ES9J4 Locking pins
Thanks!
So the locking pins aren't designed like the two bottom ones on the picture (different in diameters)?

No, like the two top ones but in the shape of a 'T'xantos wrote: So the locking pins aren't designed like the two bottom ones on the picture (different in diameters)?

Re: V6 ES9J4 Locking pins
I did my C5 V6 without any special tools, just found the right size bolts and improvised the rest.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

Re: V6 ES9J4 Locking pins
Yes I did that also on my 1.9TD, but when I did a bit of research for V6 engine I came across the pins with different diameter through the length... So M8 bolt should do the trickStempy wrote:I did my C5 V6 without any special tools, just found the right size bolts and improvised the rest.
