Xantia xu5jp 1993 ecu swap

Hi again! I have a xantia 1.6i 1993 without a keypad code! Its ecu is iaw 8p.13. What will happen if i put an ecu (same model) from a car that had a keypad immobiliser? Will the car work streight on with the new ecu or will be blocked from starting the car?

It would be locked. But don't even try it until you know for sure that the ECUs have compatible pin-outs, or you might destroy the ECU.

Thank very much for your answer. I bought one from a same car (xantia 1.6 xu5jp engine,ecu model:iaw 8p.13) in order to remap it and keep mine in stock if anything goes wrong. but i dont know the details of the car the ecu come with(immo keypad etc).when i receive it i will post the numbers from mine and the new one in order to give me some more details.
