Peugeot 307 2.0 hdi xsi cutting out

Post by Dcourt »

Hi I have a Peugeot 307 2.0 hdi xsi and I got in it and drove about 3 miles and it drove fine. Then when I went to drive it again 30 mins later it starts fine then I go to pull away and it keeps cutting out! Anyone have this problem before or know what this problem could be? Any help would be great cheers.

Bosch or Siemens injection? If its Bosch it's possibly the fuel pressure regulator. However a lot of observations need to be made first. Is there any possibility that you have a gearbox or other problem that causes the car to stall. Any loose connections under the bonnet. Look at the live data and see what's happening.

No gearbox problems just started cutting out! Tried again today and there is a bit of smoke coming from the exhaust now

Fuel filter? or possibly pressure regulator as BX says. I have a C5 which cuts out occasionally, usually when you are in the process of overtaking someone.
