Electric Issue Random Drivers Window Goes Up and Down!

Hello All,

I have a Peugeot 406 1.9s 150k.

All electrics work fine apart from a rear window does not work. It rained a week ago and I left the drivers window open...rain got on to switches...after that the window went down without me touching switch occasionally I would mwait a minute then I could put window up again. Now the window went down and will not close when I use the switch. Ive taken switch unit off and dried it..It still doesnt work. Ive noticed the drivers switch does not click when depressed and also there is an slight ...what I think an actuator sound coming from the top of the door.

Can anyone suggest an issue with the window?
