diag box activation help

Despite installing a new copy and having instrctions for activation mine still doesnt work.

hellrazor sent me pictures of activation but they dont work I get an error..

does someone have full activation instructions please and not just a photo??

Im a bit stuck and stuffed without lexia / pp2000...

As far as I can tell they are all slightly different depending on the version of Diagbox and where you got it from. What version did you start with and have you updated it? If so, to what version are you patching it? Also, how new is your interface kit as this needs to have a certain version of firmware to work with the new V7.> Diagbox. Also, don't patch past V7.66, as versions past this require an online subscription to perform programming and coding operations.

Ok, well the first install I had was working on my old Dell Lattitude D610.. then one day all of a sudden, I got the message you need to activate the services.

So I was sent a new one, im sure was version 7.. it install but still wont activate... Im not one for updateing it.. and once working just leave it as is..

I had a similar problem with my DocBackup install. One day it told me it wasn't going to work due to activation expiry, I did nothing to it and the next day it was working fine and has been to this day.

This damm copy of diagbox wont install now. Keep getting an error and please start again...

ISTR something about killing off the PSA Agent before you run an install - this was if installing Doc Backup on top of Diagbox. I can't find anything in my files on it at present, but will keep looking as it may be relevant. I think you may need to remove all old files before you try again
I do have a set of installs from 7.02 semi-incrementally up to 7.57 if you get desperate. These installs worked for me.

Yes a complete uninstall of previous Lexia software needed if you haven't installed Diagbox before. The PSAAGENT file loads up on startup and will also affect installs, but should be removed when you uninstall the old software and reboot your system

Wow.. getting a bit technical now.. where do I find those files to delete?

Paul - first just try and use the add / remove programmes feature in Windows Control Panel to remove the old Lexia / PP 2000 Software ( I never had these older versions so can't tell you what they were called). That should remove all the programmes. A reboot is always recommended too afterwards. Then you can try a fresh installation following the info we have sent. See how you get on, but don't be tempted to take shortcuts as inevitably can lead to more work in the long run!

If you get really stuck, I've got a later copy of diagnosed 7.45 I think, it what mine runs using xp
