I have a P reg Berlingo 1.9 diesel with a keypad problem. The code is not recognised when entered. After switching on, puting in the numbers all I get is the red light and costant beeping. I have tried leaving it switched on for three hours but still no joy. Any ideas. please?

Disconnect the - terminal of the car battery, and leave for 20 mins. Then re-connect and try again.
If it accepts the code and the van starts then what a lot of people do (after it accepted the code) is carefully prise out the keypad from the dash, and pull the multiblcok off the back. Then refit keypad. Its now disabled and the van will start like a normal car by turning the key.
The actual code is stored in a tiny ECU at the back of the diesel pump.
