Garage quoted 5hrs labour more less.
When they do the timing belt they will have a closer look of the suspension pump as well.
If ordering a water pump do not order the original type for the car (as it will also not fit), but order one for a 2000 year Xantia.
The earlier pump can be made to fit with the new style tensioner by cutting the ear off the pump with a hacksaw (but your garage might not be too keen on that operation).
5 hours is a reasonable time for someone who knows what they are doing with the right tools. My first took 10 hours, and I have done one in less than 4 hours.
