Citroen Dealer Closure - Shetland Isles

Unread post by DHallworth »

The Citroen dealer in the Shetlands is closing his doors for the final time at the end of next week.

This was posted on Facebook last night...

A return trip on the ferry for one person is working out at £382, or £486 for 2 people.

I'm going to be heading up in a van and am happy to bring anything back for anybody who wants something they've got for a contribution towards the ferry.

I'm hoping to get a list of what they've got tomorrow, unfortunately it'll only be part numbers though so if anybody knows how to use citroen service to find out what part no is for what car I'll do my best :)

I'll keep an eye on this as i'll happily shove a few quid on top of the price if somethings there that i need!

As far as pn's go i've got quite adept at using servicebox to cross-reference stuff so can easily sit for a few minutes and post back pictures and names!

If they have something I don't for the Citroen C5 2008+ (Tourer to be more specific), I'd be interested ... :)

I'm thinking closure = not much citroen business = not many citroen cars = not many citroen car parts stocked. I'd expect the tooling to be available.

Parts wise they've got over £300k at retail prices! PM me your email addresses and I'll send you the stock list. There's nearly 4000 items on it.

Be a good chap and don't hide all the V6 parts in your garage David :)

The trip I was going to make for work has been called off due to other commitments. Unfortunately the ferry cost is £400 and takes 13 - 14 hours each way, and I'm not sure what he's likely to have, I doubt there's much V6 stuff on the islands either.

The other problem is, all of the parts are for collection only. :(

I would suggest the garage held large stocks of common stuff simply because of the logistics of getting stuff there in a hurry...

It may be a real gold mine...

Good old-fashioned ones do Alasdair and I get the feeling that one fell into that category... May be wrong...

Interesting that it was never a franchised dealer...

Probably means it genuinely did offer good service!

I would love some of the tools...
