Removing DW8B plastic intake manifold

Post by MarkandCath »

I can't remove the plastic intake manifold on my Dispatch van. I changed the glow plugs of my van last year and had to remove the plastic intake manifold to do it so I have done this before but today I can't move it for some reason.

I have removed the 2 bolts right at the back that connect it to the metal intake manifold and I have removed the 2 bolts that are hidden on the top, 1 next to the oil filler cap and 1 on the other side. Will it move, will it heck as like. Am I missing something or being daft?

Thanks
Mark

Taken off/loosened he pipe from the filter that connects to it? Mine was tough to get out, but if you loosen that jubilee and the 4 allen bolts it should come out. A long object to pry between the inlets should help.

At least the glowplugs are easy to get to after that!
