guys

had the tyres pumped for motorway use but had to do some in town driving had the tyres pumped to 2.5 bar front and 3.0 bar back and over bumpy roads in sheffield felt like the car was going to shake itself to pieces.

would it be better if the back tyres were pumped to 2.5 bar and would it be ok on the motorway at those pressures ?

I did 400miles on the motorway on the normal pressures, surely theres no huge benefit to running higher pressures?

always try to keep mine at 2.5

ok guys thanks thats the information i needed. i am relatively new to this car. I bet it will a lot smoother on 2.5 at the back. I do a lot of mixed driving motorways and city centres and country roads

Been running on 2.5 all round and my god it's brilliant like floating on pillows

I run my 406 at about 32 psi, sorry don't speak Bar, and that gives a fairly comfortable ride and handles fine, the only time you really need a higher pressure is if you are carrying a lot of weight.

Oh yes of course - that's one atmosphere. Haven't got used to decimalisation yet.

I set everything to 2.5 all round I think thats 36psi ? but car feels like it floating on air! ran it like that for a couple of weeks amazing difference. Set the back to 2.6 this time but could feel the harshness of the road coming through but less bouncy fast. I think I'll just run it always like this ...
