Xantia TD Auxiliary Belt Tensioner Pulley

Unread post by Lenny »

Good evening all,

I've got the auxiliary belt off my '98 Xantia 2.1 TD at the moment trying to sort out a squeak.

It might be common knowledge but I couldn't find a pulley for the top tensioner anywhere - just complete tensioners, so I measured it up and after a couple of hours surfing the web I came up with this:

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Peuge ... 8c5&000453

Well I've been and bought one and it is exactly right. Even made my the same company as the original one was and a proper metal pulley too rather than the plastic one that most complete tensioners came with. It's available cheaper from ebay but I wanted to compare new with old before I laid out my hard-earned cash.

The original part number is 5751.91 and it's listed to fit a Peugeot 206 1.9D.

Just thought I'd share this little nugget in case anybody is in the same position in the future.

I've been in the garage this evening and I'm pleased to report that this is fitted, working, and the squeak seems to have gone.

Result.
