Screen DE-mister vents, the two black inserts on the top of the dash
Anyone got a set for an S1 car (S2 cars a different)....both of mine are cracked as are the ones in my donor car.....driving me nuts
I cannot think why you would have them but if you do or are going into a scrap yard (my locals only have S2 cars) and going to the Chevrons Rally....I would be happy to fork out for them.
I've got two new vents here one for a C5 one other for I'm not sure, part numbers are 8265G7 and 8264L7 I have photos somewhere on my computer if you're interested I'll look them up and post them.

Yes.. This could be quite possible... Im sure ive got two s1 dash left lieing around. Ive got an air con s1 dash to go on my s1 xantia which has a non air con dash in it with missing glove box..
So.. If they will come out ok ill do my best to get them out for you...

That would be great.
I do not think any repair will work very well as the thermal shock of the heat/cold cycle will split them again even if I glue/staple pin/melt them. I do not think the brittle type plastic will cope with a section that is harder than the rest (chemical metal type) as that will just get it twisted as it heats up.
Are you coming over to the Chevron Rally ?
Do you need any bits off my S1 donor for your S1 car ?, a lot of the dash does not fit a LHD car so I will have little need of many of the parts.
Lift the cabin edge first in the middle and work outwards to one edge, once one end is free slide it sideways and it comes out ok

I might have saved a pair of vents from the VSX I scrapped - dismantling became a mad scramble over the last day, I just chucked anything small, potentially useful and easily removable into yet another box. I'll be bringing the lot to the Chevron's Rally - see you there.
If you've got a spare sunroof motor unit, we can do a deal - doesn't matter which of the three types, they should all be interchangeable. Easy enough to check and test. It takes less than 5 minutes to remove and not much more to fit. Despite what the BoL says, it's easy, even servicing a sunroof isn't difficult, just takes a bit of time to do thoroughly.
See you tomorrow.

I now have to confess that, having sorted through the crates of bits while loading the car, that a pair of vents isn't among them. Front grill in Mauritius blue; ECUs; complete set of exterior lights, mock wood switch panel and matching face vents; hydractive electrovalve with sphere, pair hydractive front spheres little used, unused rear centre sphere; 3/4 of a set of lock barrels with key (passenger door barrel missing) and loads of other stuff but no screen vents, sorry.
