Citroen doc backup

Unread post by Gibbo2286 »

I have had the Citroen doc backup on my computer for along time and it's always worked fine until now, after installing Windows 10 it doesn't show the images. I've tried downloading the itedo plug in as requested but it still does nothing. Any ideas?

That's why I've decided to stick to my Virtual Machine setup, and the source OS is Win XP Pro SP3 (but running Win 10 Pro) ... users are reporting that the Doc Backup runs just fine on Windows 10, maybe you have something that collides with Java or some other Doc B related resources?

missing car images is usually down to the locale being screwed up.

try the following:
Close DocBackup (from the tray)
Start "regedit" in command line -> browse HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/BackupAC change setting for AppLocale from "locale" to en_GB
Start DocBackup.

Thanks for your input fellas but no luck with that, the regedit is already set for en_GB I've uninstalled and deleted all references to Itedo and Isoview and reinstalled without any change, given up for the moment.

I have had a number of problems with Windows 10, my Ability Office wouldn't work at first but I can get it to go by going from the start menu right clicking and run as administrator, despite the fact that I am the administrator on this computer, Microsoft Money needed a regedit too.

I have Win 10 and use Google Chrome as the default browser rather than Microsoft Edge and it works fine. There are also a few SVG Viewer extensions that you can add to Chrome if necessary.

I would add one thing though - it is best to ensure that if you have uninstalled the DocBackup software that you also make sure all the content is removed from the 'DocBackupAC' folder in your 'c:\Program Files' folder before re-installing the software (not the DocBackupJRE folder which is in the 'c:\program files (x86)' though). I found that not doing this can sometimes screw up the indexing on subsequent installs - like getting the hydraulic diagrams when you wanted the headlight assembly!

Greetings.
I also have a problem with docbackup not showing some images (usually the ones from repair manual ). I'm using it over vwware xp virtual machine. Instead of images it says "please insert dvd 3/3". When I mount the image over virtual drive - in virtual xp, nothing happens, still the same. I've tried checking locale (it's already set to en_GB), tried using program over Chrome, it didn't help. I was thinking of burning dvd 3 image to physical dvd, but I think it would only be a waste of DVD. Has anyone yet had the same problem? Any idea how it could be fixed?

We don't support this software. I've sent you a PM.
