How to buy an ABS pump
Hey all, well i need a new ABS pump for a 407. I'd like to know about buying one on ebay.co.uk. does the pump come with its own ECU or its that a separate unit? Will i have to do any work with it using Lexia? Its a used one im getting. thanks.

It's probably all in one - there may be more than one type though, so if you post up your VIN I can get the Pug part number for yours.
Pretty sure you need the Lexia when it's refitted to open the internal valves and allow you to bleed it.

All one unit but the ECU is easily removed and changed on its own. If you are having problems its probably a TRW unit. Get one with the numbers on the labels matching your old one.

There's a few on eBay with TRW made by Siemens. I'll have to get part number to match

It's difficult to say Russ - there must be differences in the part numbers, and these may cause troubles on your car. You need to get the numbers off your one, and find one that has matching numbers - that's the only way you can be (reasonably) sure that it won't cause problems.
