Citroen C5 MK3 2.0hdi Child/Window Lock Fault

Post by BigTownz »

Hi everyone,

Recently my car has acquired a problem with the child/window lock where after pressed to turn on it just turns itself off. It used to work fine a few months ago and there hasn't been anything to suggest what the issue is e.g crash etc. Normally it wouldn't be a problem but my toddler can reach the controls whilst strapped into her baby seat.

Any advise welcome

Have you taken out the switch ? they can fail and cause that problem apparently.

It is my understanding that the doors auto-lock over 6mph, not good when stopped but at least the kids cannot open them whilst moving and faster, so I hope that itself is reassuring.

I didn't think of taking out the switch, I may go to a breakers and try another one.
