"Shame List of used cars"

In the Sun yesterday, the 12 worst used cars that drivers can buy named and shamed. Of interest to this list possibly is the
Peugeot 106- "Unable to compete on safety, security of driving experience"
Peugeot 406- "Almost certain to let you down"
Citroen Saxo-"Does not make the grade for safety, security or performance"
Renault Laguna- "Exceptionally poor reliability record"
I have no faith in the Consumer associations tests and reporting at least with cars. No indication if reliability or driving pleasure is there main criteria. Further down on the list of 12 is the Mitsubishi Carisma which whilst one of the dullest cars on the road (right up the Consumer Associations street you would think!)is one of the most reliable according to other reports.
Has to be said that Peugeot seem to be gaining a bad name of late. They sell like hot cakes seemingly, command good resale prices ( at least the smaller ones), but come out with mediocre reliability in every survey. There not even cheap by the standards of Citroen of late.
At least there's only the one Citroen on the list!!
