508 glovebox light

Post by 407iain »

Hi guys, I currently own a 2011 508 GT.
I've noticed the glovebox light isn't working. I've taken the fitment out and tried it in the boot and it works ok.
So what does this mean?, is there a dedicated fuse for this as everything else seems to work fine. All the courtesy lights, sidelights, DRLs, headlights, numberplate lights etc.
I have an owners manual but this is not mentioned in the fuseboard layout pictures.

Thank you.

I found that mine was on the same fuse as the fag lighter.

Both 12v sockets work.
So it can't be that.

Does the rest of the interior lighting work?

Yep, as far as I Can tell nothing else is out.
All the puddle lights, courtesy lamps, gearknob and dash illumination and over head mood lights all work.

I'd be looking for a disconnected terminal.

Or more likely in my case ignoring it.

I'll probably ignore it for now.

Well I am officially baffled.
I've checked everything I can with this, but there is no 12v power getting to the glove box light plug. According to my multimeter and the boot fixture I plugged in to it.
Literally everything else works.
I'm tempted to run a fused line from the fusebox to the fixture and fix it that way.
