Idle
Hi, my wifes Peugeot 306 , 1.4 petrol (2000) struggles to "tick over" , she has to keep revving the engine, to stop it stalling ! not fun at traffic lights ! any ideas anyone ? any help gratfully received, Terry

I would consider when it was last serviced initially (air and fuel filter in particular) and see if they need replacing.
If they appear okay I would see if the issue might be related to a recent fuel fill up which could have been a bad batch.
Then I might move onto checking for air leak into the fuel lines by swapping some of them with clear piping.
From there I guess it would be more specific petrol injection related checks...the only petrol car I own runs on points so I won't be much more help!

Remove and clean the stepper motor (idle control valve),its housing,and intake flap with carb` cleaner.If that does not solve the fault the motor may need replacing and the ECU reset with a Diag` tool.
