Why no Van on Liquid ?
So, always wondered, why no Citroen Van with hydraulic suspension with all that it could offer in easy loading, loaded ride, French (old) roads ? etc ?

Hydropnumatic vans, brilliant idea. The things a carried in my XMs was amazing. I once brought back a 2.1 td engine and gearbox from Newcastle and stopped off in Derbyshire to pick up a Ford diesel engine for my sons truck. The handling remained almost normal, the only noticeable thing was it was a bit slow up hills.

Re: Why no Van on Liquid ?
I think that one of the problems was that (before hydractive), hydraulic Citroens tended to lean over quite a lot in corners, and with the high centre of gravity of a loaded van, that could get quite extreme. Handling in side-winds may also have been problematic.

Re: Why no Van on Liquid ?
Looks like getting into the CitroenDS van would be a bit of a problem. You would have to put your size 12's on the rather beautiful wing to open the door.
Its turns out to be something from the imagination of one Jens Christian Moller, and the ubiquitous photoshop
He also did quite a nice one based on the Panhard
So a genuine medium/large "van on liquid" remains elusive.

There was the Tubik which sadly never arrived. I think it was a 2.0Hdi Hybrid 4wd with Hydractive 3+. My perfect day van.

Any way of transposing c5 gubbins to a relay or similar? Chances are it's do-able but a mega job
