xantia alarm and deadlocks

Unread post by chinkostu »

For some reason the Xants decided it doesnt like being deadlocked and alarmed. All fuses are fine, was perfectly fine a few hours back!

Even trying the deadlocks with the key won't work

Probably a failed wire in a door grommet.

It depends on which wire has failed, and where. All of the door locks have some form of monitoring, and if one of these fails the central locking may pick up on this, and have a hissy fit (this happened on Gracie, on the driver door, and that is one reason why I moved on). What happened was that she could not see the door lock status, and so would not lock.

Ahhh right that makes sense! The rear doors have had a bit more use today but hopefully its easy to track.

Shame they don't use a multiplug on the doors either!

True. If it is in the rear doors it is fairly easy to fix. You can get into the door grommets, as there is plenty of space. Front doors are much harder. No room for hands (unless you support and then take the door off its' hinges!).

In a certain shooting club there is an equivalent of the "Wooden Spoon"

presented mainly for a disastrous shoot, where the shooter has had an absolute nightmare result through a faux pas of his/her own making

it is a white walking stick fitted with spoof rifle sights,

should something similar be awarded for occasions such as the one featured in this topic?

suggestions please.......LOL

How about a nice green sphere to which is attached a nice bouncy spring, which then has a small wheel attached to the other end?
