Strange problem

Post by kappas »

First of all, please excuse my english.
I have a strange problem with the car. Let me tell you what I did: I got out of the car BSI, pulled all the plugs because the chip was not working, but nothing has changed in him, after I installed, I put all jacks and car 3 minutes after a block, cut the power at all. remote control does not work, nothing works. A key open and then make contact and go all.
Please help me with advice, who else happened.

So when the BSI should be timing out and shutting down power to stuff like the radio and lights etc after the 3 minutes being locked it is actually shutting down everything, your central locking also?
If i understand you right it seems like the BSI is getting confused as to what its actually turnng off.
Has the BSI been replaced? if so has the new one been coded to the car?

My personal experience is that the BSI is a pain in the backside, low voltage causes things to turn on in the middle of the night with the car locked or things not to work on all kind of random curcuits, check the battery is good and re set the BSI for starters and see what happens.

Unless i have misunderstood what your saying of course.

Service Citroen is awesome, it shows me pictures of all the parts i used to be able to buy............

Yes, it's shutting down everything ,also central locking it's like i have no battery. The BSI was not replaced, it's the original one. it was made a reinitialisation and reset, but nothing.
The battery is good.

Hi
As it is shutting down totally like that you must use a new battery or charge yours overnight to rule it out of the process.

Did you follow the battery reconnect procedure, recommended for all Citroen's
http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... 11&t=40407

Check the shunt fuse for a good connection...(like this if you have one )

Do you have a Lexia unit to view fault codes ?

Problem solved. The SH fuse had 2 positions. 1- client and 2 parking. Mine was on parking.
Thank's to all for help.
