Low battery/Energy saving mode 2008 C5

Unread post by bigblackfalco »

I don't seem to be able to to use use anything electrical very much without the Battery saving mode kicking in( even after a long run).
I've measured battery voltage when it kicks in as 12.8 volts.
Does this sound about right?
Does everyone have the same problem?

It is measured by the miles of each drive, either a long drive out of leave the battery off all day (and charging) and refit with the correct procedure later.

this resets the calculation, the car does not read the voltages/battery etc.

Stupid system Id say. Is there anyway of deactivating it?

Yep, drive more longer journeys

Nope :)

After my last reset I have not had a problem for weeks until today when fitting/testing the new fan and fixing the bumper back on.
I will just do a quick reset as I know the battery is fine and the car is confused by the start stop of the fault finding/testing the new fan.
