So Fred, my Xantia, has been stalling when at a particular junction for a couple of years now. Only in the summer. Anyway she began stalling in May, then in June I did some work on her. Changed the front brake pads and suspension strut return pipes. She hasn't stalled since then. It doesn't make any sense to me! The pads don't even have a wear sensor on them and as far as I know there's nothing brake system side that can stop the engine. The tdc sensor is on the engine side obviously.
Don't get me wrong I love not stalling but what is going on?!

Pads rubbing before the brake change maybe?

Re: Weirdly not stalling anymore
Elma maybe but odd for 2 years. The pads looked nicely worn but there was a annoying rattle. The stalling isn't normal either, she cuts out rather than juddering first.
Stickyfinger...as long as the gremlin hasn't jumped off onto another bit!!
Luckily when she did stall there wasn't any traffic to crash into/ annoy.
