My 2011 c5 tpms sensor won't program , had a specialist try with an exciter and still won't work even thought the exciter reads pass.

Anyone experienced similar / any way to add manually ?

Faulty sensor, any chance of getting another one to check?

Hi,
Had to fit a new sensor to our 2007 C5, the exiter started it up ok and checked out against another exiter when it could not be recognised by the car.

Tried to programme the new sensor with Lexia (2nd stage of activation) but no luck, eventually when fed up with messages took it to our local Citroen agent who succeded in reactivating properly.

This can be tested by fitting the spare and if TPMS is correctly activated you will get the message telling you that the wheel with the spare is not monitored.

I think under normal circumstances TPMS activates when the wheels rotate (above a certain speed) at that point it may be "open" for reprogramming but for how long I do not know. Alternatively if a new sensor is introduced then maybe all four need to be reprogrammed.

Hopefully as a result of your post someone on here may be able to post the actual Citroen activation instructions.

I have tried with another sensor and it has been to a Citroen specialist/- and the main dealer - No joy

Going back for another try on the 2nd July but wanted to see if something else could be causing the issue ??

Is that one sensor, or all of the sensors. Thought the X7 had some sort of "sender" under the wings for each sensor.

4 sensors, 1 antenna and 1 TPMS computer, nothing else (of course, some wires in between, where it's not RF communication) ... not sure, I don't have TPMS on my car to give you more hands-on info, only what I've learned from other cars and cases ... I'm guessing the other 3 wheels are happily reporting the pressures?

Other 3 are fine just the near side front , wonder what happens if I swap around

Sensors are wheel specific so the computer might need to "learn" where the sensor has been moved to. That's why I thought there was a "sender" near each wheel.

Nothing much, but you won't get the correct wheel location (each sensors is linked to the wheel position) reported
