Latest on Malcolm (received 10 minutes ago); "Evening all. Dad is off BP meds, and his BP is almost normal. They have managed to reduce the amount of oxygen he is on from 50% to 30%. The best news is they have managed to reduce the sedation by about half. Now they will leave it tonight and continue to reduce it further in the morning, with the hope of Dad waking up a bit. Dad's not absorbing nutrients, so they are planning to feed him intravenously, but on the whole Dad's had a very positive day. XX.".

Vince,
Every chance. I have collected some signatures at Little Horwood today and add any names people want up to about 7pm Monday, then scan and post it at our late post office.

Very sad news, i got the chance to sign the card & chat to myglaren (it was really nice to meet you & my lad Joshua enjoyed the snickers & orange juice). I've chatted to Malcolm at some of the car meets over the years & he's a top lad, everything's crossed for the best for him & his family at this very difficult time.

Please add my name to the list, I have not yet had much direct contact with Malcolm, but his contributions to the community are missed.

Latest on Malcolm (sorry for the delay); "Morning all. Dad has had a stable night; his BP is up slightly, but this can happen when coming off sedation. The Doctor will review later and may want to start Dad on medication for his BP again. The really good news is that Dad has been taking a couple of breathes on his own; the machine is doing 8 and Dad 2. I'm afraid I'm stuck at work today as one of the little men I look after is poorly; Mum will keep me up to date though. XX.".

Best wishes to Malcolm and his family, whatsthisthen? is not the same without Malcolm's input. Hope that he is soon on the road to recovery. At these difficult times you realise that the skills and care provided by our national health service is second to none.
