Malcolm Goldberger AKA Citronut

Post by Mothman »

Just been informed by Chris Salter that my good friend Malcolm has been admitted to hospital with acute leukemia. He went to his doctor earlier in the week with some bad bruising and was immediately refered to hospital where he was put straight into intensive care where they nearly lost him. The next few days will tell. I was only speaking to him a week ago and he sounded his usual cheery self. Fingers crossed he will make a speedy recovery. My heartfelt best wishes to him and his family.

Sorry to hear this sad news. Malcolm has been active on the forum almost daily until last Monday and was from thereonin conspicuous by his absence, to me certainly, as I could almost guarantee his input into each and every discussion, such is his breadth of knowledge and humour which brings a laugh. I do hope this proves to be just a blip in his longer term health and that he is able to respond positively to treatment and return to his old self as soon as is practical. My best wishes go out to him and his family at this difficult time. I'm sure that Malcolms character, as i've seen it over the years, and his resilience will help him through this ......

I can but wish him the very best and I am sure he has the fight in him to defeat whatever tries to have a go at him.

How awful, as others have said only in contact with him the other day & seemed as always full of fun. Anyone know if he's in the Conquest hospital, Hastings? If so is he in a condition to have visiters as I'd pop in & see him?

Either way fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.

Sad news indeed Andy and thanks for sharing.
May his humour, family, friends and all the professionals (doctors and nurses etc ) involved keep him upbeat while facing all he has to endure in this fight.

From contact that I've received from his family, at present any visiting would be strictly family only, let's hope that changes for the better very soon.

I was made aware of this on the 5th June. I did not post it up at the time, as I had been asked not to (unless it was already on the forum). I had already asked for my best wishes for a speedy recovery to be passed on.
