Have you tried afm cleaner? its about a tenner for a bottle, worth a go on both your afm's if you kept the old one? the replacement may also not be working?

It can be a LOT of things giving that fault (which is generic almost)....it really needs a Lexia session to read what is the problem.

All else will be guess work really

Hi Guys.....I have the same fault intermittently on my C8 HDI SX.........One of the fault codes says airflow meter fault.....Where can I find it....It doesn't show in the exploded diagrams in the Citroen Doc backup software...and a search of said software by name doesn't come up with anything either....Thanks to anyone who can help......I'm not a dunce, but I think the software is written in such a way that it's meant not to be clear to the owners of the vehicles to which it relates....Thanks Guys..(and girls if applicable)

See above.

Airflow meter [MAF] is inline with the air-filter/induction tubes.

Hi Darbuck , £40 for a MAF seems quite cheap ? Is it a genuine one ? I was told not to take any chances with a non genuine MAF when I had my 2000 C5 model 2.0 HDI ; That kept coming up with ANTI - POllution fault.

It had sporadic moments of non repaonsive accelration ...really slow. Then it would just go back to normal for ages.
I thought it was fuel filter and changed it and it seemd to work ....then it was back again.
It seemd whatever I did to it fixed it temporarily ? I suspected that it was clearing itself of the fault and getting by then realised the fault is still there and play up.
In the end I stumped up the £80 for a genuine one from Eurocar parts and hey presto ...it fixed it permanently.
Did another 20000 miles before I scrapped it with 200000 miles. Rear bushes went !

I now have a newer model which is a pain in the backside ...I am going through an EGR valve nightmare at the moment; check my other thread.

Anyway I still have that MAF SENSOR off the 20000 vehicle in my kitchen in a bag.......let me know if you want to try it out.

thanks Dave - Leicester.

Hi Sticky...Many thanks for the info......It seems my C8 has the same poor acceleration fault yours had....But has only contracted this disease recently...Have got new Exhaust pressure pipes and sensor, but it would seem from your post that the airflow sensor is the most likely cause.......So Thanks you very much for your help....Cheers guys
