Heat shield clips

Post by RichardW »

The ones that are like an inside out spring washer and just push onto a stud to hold in place as used on some Xantias to hold the exhaust heat shields in place - anyone know what they are called? I need one to repair a toy tractor..... but searching on 'spring washer' or 'spring clip' doesn't readily turn up what I need.

I seem to recall they called them crank clips Citroen that is: These VW ones on Ebay maybe http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-AUDI-SEAT- ... 3f4b627dac

I've got some chrome covered ones in my box like the ones fitted to kids toys and pushchairs, not sure of the size but if you're interested I'll sort them out.

Checked the size, they're for 6mm axles. If they're any good for you send me a message and I'll pop a couple in the post.

I bought a bag from Citroen and have some left. If they're the size you want (and I can find them) shoot me an addy in pm and I'll pop it in the post. If you're after just the name, they're commonly called Star Washers.

That's the one  Not actually measured the shaft, but it's bigger than the stud on a Xantia - thanks for the offers. Looks like i should be able to source something now I know what to search for!

It's not for the axle on one of those toy John Deere kiddies tractors, is it ? Been there, done that - I'm surprised I didn't need to replace the whole tractor once I'd finished with it :-D

I've got a box full of those Citro, assorted shapes and sizes. the ones I mentioned previously are like chrome buttons with the spire bit inside.
