Xantia Anti Sink

Post by DarkendViper »

I've done a search for info on this. My Xantia is a 1996 1.9TD VSX Estate. It has hydractive II (I think), definately got hydractive something or other.
In the middle there is a sphere but from what i've read this is to do with the hydractive? Sometimes when I stop the car, the back sinks, other times the back stays up. If it stays up when I go and start it again the back sinks. Could this be due to a flat Anti Sink sphere? (If fitted).
Could someone tell me how to tell if i've got one fitted as i can see the centre sphere.
Thanks

Bearing in mind the age of your Xantia it will have an anti sink sphere, if you look under the back of your car you will see one sphere in the centre and another positioned on the offside. The anti sink sphere is the one with a thin metal pipe going into the centre of it.
