That's the ex-Westroen one that was up for sale for £1700 or something mad last year I think...

Strange they are not advertising what it is, seem silly to put it up as a Xantia only

Yes, but realistically does it matter? I bet there's not many people who aren't on here who'd buy one anyway..

"Thirsty quite slow 15 year old Citroen with high tax and complex suspension that's a pain to fix with loads of unavailable parts"..

Really attractive to someone who's not had one already.

I spotted this car for sale a couple of weeks ago and posted about it in the Activa section.
Someone I trust did go and view it and found a list of things needing attention. Nothing much that a decent day's fettling wouldn't sort out.
From memory; ABS light on, Airbag warning light on, gear change cable needing replacing, front brake pads low, plus a few other minor items. All fixable and the vendor may have attended to some of them by now.
The suspension ride quality was good.
It would make a good car for someone prepared to invest their time and/or money into.

Having tried and failed to get an airbag slip-ring for a series 2 (I tried 3 before I gave up!), that puts me right off!

It may have been a side airbag warning light that was showing; more often than not fixed by wiggling the connectors under the seat. My mechanic wasn't worried by this & thought it would be easily fixed.

If it is the Westroen one, I'm sure it has had spheres when needed etc..
