A little fine tuning!!

As most will know I have recently refitted the head on my ZX 16v. Most appears well after 150miles, but there are a few niggly problems.
1. It doesn't always start easily, sometimes requiring numerous cranking cycles. (hot and cold)
2. Sometimes the idle fluctuates wildly up and down, normally after its been revved for a while. (Idle valve prob??)
3. I'd left it for a day without driving, started it and it ran rough as dogs until I blipped the throttle, then it was fine!
Anyone had any similar problems to these?
Any ideas would be helpful, cheers.
