306 d turbo

Post by TC78 »

Hello everyone,

I have a 1996 306 d turbo which I have owned for 12 years. Could any one please tell me the name of the hose that goes from the lucas fuel pump to the intercooler. Mine has a split in it leaving the car seriously down on power.

Thanks...

hi and welcome

do you mean the short well about 8 to 10 inches long and about 10mm in diameter,

if you send me the laast 8 digits of you chassis/VIN No. i can see if i can find it and its OE price and part No. on Pug service box,

if its the pipe i think it is cant you just cut off the split section and refit what is remaining

Boost compensator pipe is what i call it. Any sort of hose will do it (not garden!) So whip the pipe off and nip down your local factors and see what they have in

Thanks, the hose originally had been cut in half to install a boost gauge I think. I bodged it by joining it together with some hose I had in the shed but it must be loosing a bit of boost as it feels down on power.

as long as the hose is airtight and not too small in diameter, or too soft that it flexes, then it shouldn't be an issue. i'll get a part number for one though if you want?

1574C4 seems to be the one for both bosch and lucas pumps, as well as a few other uses
