automatic gearbox ????

hi guys been quit a while but had one or two things going on with the picasso now fixed again it's that stupid brake light switch it seams to keep moving in it's plastic holder so super glued it in ,,, now about the gear box thing i would like to fit a automatic gearbox to the car! as my better half has a bad knee and ankle has any one ever did this and been successful and then happy with the finished thing my car is a 2001 picasso 2.0 hdi 148k and very reliable so want to keep her ,,i will say thanks in advance this site is great for these french cars

I would say that it would be very difficult and expensive to convert to automatic transmission, there are many parts that need to be changed over, and the automatic transmission for that car would be electronic controlled so wiring harnessses, and the engine ECU would also need to be changed.

Much cheaper to find another good car with automatic transmission.
