Citroen service state 55mm pads for my Model/VIN
Online catalogues state varying sizes from 60-65mm for my REG.
See what I mean? Xantia 1.9TD 07/93-10/99 http://www.apecbraking.co.uk/catalogue/ ... tion-45743 Comes up as a 60.5mm height. It is likely what Citroen refer to as 50mm, as opposed to the 45mm I was sold.citronut wrote:check here against your specific year/model

click on the appropriate Apec No. and a drawing and dimensions will pop up
If I had the old pads in my hands, things may be far easier but why does Citroen Service only give liner height, width, thickness and surface area as defining specification when pad manufacturers use different measurements (presumably the metal backing/mounting parts)?citronut wrote:i have various paper copies of brake component books at my workshop, and the drawings of pads are actual shape and size,
i wonder if you printed some of the drawings out from Apecs on line catalog they would come out actual size???,
then you could lay one of the old pads on the drawings top get an exact match

Thank you kindly!RichardW wrote:Anyway, back to your pic. The part number is in the LH column. So you start off with 425291 which is the original part number. Then there are 2 options for 'cheaper' parts offered for older cars. The first of these has had its original part number changed, so it was E172027, now replaced by (RP - replacement part) E172511, the second still goes by LVXL701.

or maybe remove one front pad to compare what Apec show,
is it possible someone has fitted the wrong discs at some point in the cars life?????
