Citroen c3 16v hdi injectors seized.

Hi , I posted here last July after running problems with my C3.. the car has been left in a mate garage since the problems as I needed another car sooner rather than later. The problem is that he can only remove one of the four injectors. He's a good mechanic and been doing the job for years but simply cannot get the injectors out. I have not seen anyone else post problems with removing these injectors and I wonder if anyone could please give me some advice. Also can anyone recommend someone for injector repair or sale. I live in St annes on sea nr Blackpool. thanks in anticipation.

i had a hell of a job removing one injector from a 1.6 HDI Xsara Picasso, when it eventually came out it bought the tube it sits in out with it, then it took me a couple of hours removing the tube, this tube is meant to stay in the head but it had carbon built up all the way up in between the injector and the tube,

the reason for removing this injector was the seals were leaking, so it had the usual carbon/coke build up around the injector,

i used lots of heat the break the carbon inside the tube before i could free the injector, re/fit the tube, then the injector with new seals,

i did a goooogly search on injector services Blackpool

my local diesel service company charge around £150 for one recon injector for this engine

Cellulose thinners .. every time for gummed up leaky injector seals.. They'll soften and dissolve the carbon.. even thick carbon deposits (might need multiple applications) but thats the way forward for stuck injectors.

Was told that....BUT warned ONLY on a stone cold engine

i agree this is good for dissolving carbon, but the 1.6 HDI i did that pulled its guide tube out with it, was stuck fast the full 6 or so inches of the injector inside the tube, it would take quite some time for the thinners to penetrate up inside the tube

To get the 1.4hdi and 2.0 hdi injector guides off. I used a coke bottle with the very top cut off and a bit cut down the side to allow the injector to sit in the thinners and then left it for a while.
Yes, I should have mentioned a stone cold engine. Thanks Stickyfinger aka Shaun? (the sheep)
