I am a D&T teacher & have one of these at work http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLARKE-725-FL ... 27fc68e353 This isn't quite the same model, but I can't find a pic of the right one & I'm at home so can't look up the model number.
Any good?
I take it you want to vacuum form over some headlights? If so if you get all the bits to me, I'll do it for you (assuming the machine is up to it)

Fantastic.....the ones I need blanks of are s1 lamps in the Xantia.....I can get the glass blanks (from a French car so they can be binned after) to you next week but no big rush as I have UK light S1 units from the 2ltr Activa.
..they would fit inside a 45/25mm frame.
....they are smooth on the outside so can take a liquid/spray mold release.
.......PM me about the $$$

With your experience ....a good plastic that is clear and UV stable, can you recommend a type ?

I won't be be back at work until 20th April, so can't look into it until then, unless I decide to go in the holiday (usually I would do this for revision, but this year I have no Year 11 GCSE classes). I'd only expect you to pay materials. I may have some 3mm clear acrylic at work.

That would be great time wise....I will pack up the glass, can you PM the address to send them to.

As said, they can be binned after as they are LHD ones

shirley LHD glass will not be any good to copy for a RHD car, as the defraction will give the wrong beam pattern will it not ??????

No pattern on the outside of the glass, smooth as a baby's bum.....all the deflection moldings are inside.
Inside will be a pair of Projector lens' and LED day runners.

clear acrylic rod shaped and stuck on with Mec....remember I am a modeller

(by kick-up, I think you refer to the securing lip, if you refer to the lighting, I will be using two single projectors in each headlamp "box" so there is no need for any optical change in the lamp glass/plastic)

the kick up is the beam pattern/direction as in for RHD or LHD,
although you can get through a UK MOT with a flat beam pattern ( modified/eliminated LHD kick up )
