Xantia clutch cable. Do I have the wrong one?

Dave -
The clutch pedal should rest quite high - some 140-150mm above carpet level is the normal level.
Only if it's much higher than this overstressing of components may be possible - but I doubt it.

Taipan, I have just replaced the 'self adjusting' cable with a plain one and found the result to be very satisfactory. Nice light clutch with take up nicely placed and clutch pedal in correct position. I have a 97 Xantia 1.9 td.
A worthwhile conversion.
