Different Spirit...... a DS3/DS4 adventure

Unread post by Trainman »

Well, I've gone and bought my first new car EVER....... a DS3 DSport Plus Blue HDi 120

SWMBO has been struggling with opening the doors on the Peugeot so that had to go.......I am lucky enough to have a fantastic dealer not to far from me and I have to say, dealing with a family firm, who win customer service awards every year is really great! plus, SWMBO got some flowers off them and I was given a little 1/64 scale model, it's a simple touch but .......Anyway the car......... AWESOME! it's that simple I'm afraid to say......

This was the first sighting of the car when I arrived

Image

I loved the cover, as asked if I could keep it....... they declined :( so I told them I would be back for it when they stop production, John, the Dealer Principal just shook his head and walked off......

Here are some more pictures

I love the little 'things' with the lights

Utilised my CCC membership to get a good discount off the car thenI treated myself to a boot tray, which they even fitted that for me, plus I got a discount on it because I'm a member of another forum........ HAPPY DAYS

I have to say I really like these, shame the black doesn't show up the shark fin B pillar (still looks great in black though). We were driven around the race track enthusiastically in a DS3R at FCS 2012 & loved it. the feel inside it very like my C4 VTS only smaller.

I actually went to look at a used one, but this had near enough everything I wanted, plus being new I qualified to use the Citroen Affinity Scheme, so got a chunk off the base price....... I've always liked the DS3 and for a small car, they give the illusion of being quite big inside....

I was playing around with the camera yesterday, I thought I'd try something a bit different, managed to capture the C6 reflected in the back of the chrome door mirror of the DS3

and then again, reflecting off the curvature of the nose cone and the grille

500 miles on £50 worth of diesel, having said that, there was a little 'exercising' involved a couple of times  if I stick to 60mph, I can get 72mpg out of it, according to the trip computer, if I take the speed up to 70mph, it drops to 62mpg............ anyway thats the first tank full.
