The front suspension of my 2000 Citroen Xantia break hydractive (2,0 HDI) has this nasty habit of suddenly dropping 10 cm or more. It does it when you stop the car and get in or out, or in stop start situations like traffic jams, or parking manoeevering etc. Can also happen when driving along but less frequent. My garage suggest replacing the front EV unit.
I've noticed that it does it more frequently when the hrydractive button is pressed in, and the car actually seems to roll more with the button lit, shouldn't it be the other way round? Finaly when braking the nose tends to dip (without actually dropping).
Anyone had this problem and solved it? Any suggestions?
