C8 2.0 HDi 2003 clock display blank

For a while my AC has been switching on after restarting the car (the one with the light on in the image):

More recently the clock display started to randomly not come on and now it never comes on any more (light and LCD):

At the same time the parking sensors started to beep continually when in reverse.

Now that the clock is failing the parking sensors seem to be working again.

Does anybody have any idea what is happening? I could try replacing the fuse but I have no idea which fuse is which in my car.

I am happy to get my hands dirty if needs be.

Battery check first......that has all the trappings of a low charged or failing battery.

Remember there is a "procedure" for removing the battery, disconnect, charge it for 12 hours min then reconnect (the correct method again) which completes the BSI reset, see what it is like then.

I replaced the battery and did a BSI reset but nothing has changed... saying that, I don't think the parking sensors have complained since then.

Still have the issue with the clock rarely switching on and the AC forgetting it's settings.
