Adding an external temp senor to Berlingo Van.

Hi,

I am wanting to add an external temperature sensor to a Citroen Berlingo HDi 2008. The van does not have any provisions for this feature so I'll have to modify the mirror unit to add the sensor.

I then presume that the dashboard display will need to be changed in order to accept an input from the temperature sensor - is this correct?

Apart from buying the sensor and possbily the display unit, is there an alternative way to make this modification?
