Depressurising C5 with diagbox

Post by osx »

Is there a specific procedure or is it self explanatory with diagbox? Saw the option in one of the menus.

Not many instructions except from disconnecting the battery at the end. Should I have removed the LDS tank cap at any point?

It's generally thought to be a good idea to remove the cap. Later caps are vented, but the hole is very small and may not reduce pressure quickly enough. Also, be ready with lotsa rags or a turkey baster (or similar)- they're often overfilled, and you'll only find out when the tank overflows on service low... ask me how i know...

I did it with the cap removed and it didn't overflow but wanted to check if this is the right way to do it.
