Hydraulic pressure regulator - refurb of seals

Hi All,

Seal kit for regulator purchsed what do i look out for when refurbishing regulator

What should I look out for

A very large and powerful spring!

Citrojim can advise but I believe you need a rather large bench vice to safely disassemble it by carefully unwinding the tension of the spring.

i used my valve spring compressor ( http://tinyurl.com/m6w7cof" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) clamped in my vice to compress the end cap/bung so i could remove the snap ring/circlip,

i placed a small square steel plate ( around 2" X 2" square ) across the sphere opening and a long 7mm ( 11mm spanner size ) bolt in the tail/bung end were the tail end mounting bolt fits,

then clamp/compress the hole thing in my spring compressor

naah it aint that powerful Simon, its just like a valve spring but a bit larger in diameter

That is exactly what I did! Link works fine for me (as an already logged in member of club-xm).
