As these had just litterally come out the factory when I left, I only did a couple of runs in the car park with them mainly out of interest and to move them out of the way of other cars etc.
I did notice they vibrated alarmingly at idle though. Worse than (at the time I'll admit) my nasty 1.0 S plate 3cyl Corsa. (yes I know, I did not have it long)
Perhaps because they were brand new straight of the transporter prior to a PDI or the vibration may of settled after a while (a bit at least, I know 3cyl is not ideal for balance I guess) or perhaps the very first models had this to an excess.
Any thoughts please ?

Never noticed any excessive vibration at idle in mine since 2009! You get a bit of a thrum though the car at idle simply because it's a three pot, and it's most noticeable at about 1100rpm from memory. If there's massive vibration I'd be looking at there being something wrong. Certainly shouldn't be any more obtrusive than for instance the thrum from a diesel at idle.

It was only a couple of them that I actually had the opportunity to move, I did not get the chance to PDI any unfortunately.
Perhaps it was an issue with the very very early ones. Yes, it was a lot worse than a diesel. I'd not call even an XUD / TUD intrusive.

As Zel says Andy...
They are remarkably smooth and quiet for a three-potter.. Compare and contrast with a Suzuki Alto say...
They smooth out at speed, both engine and car
I love 'em to bits, I really do...
