2004 Xsara II 2.0hdi antifreeze questions

Post by Roen »

Problem solving progressing thanks to this forum, but realised I need to add Antifreeze to my list of stuff to get the car back on the road
I need to drain and refill the coolant, but can't find out how much I need to buy!
Also I am guessing that I need one that is good for Citroen Xsaras - maybe?
I am getting someone to pick this up for me as not very mobile just now

It'll be about 8-9 litres total, so get 5 litres, bung about 3 litres of AF in, add 3 litres of water and see where you up to - probably need to add about another litre of each. Use the longlife OAT stuff.

what colour was/is the old antifreeze that is coming out,

if its blue or green you can put blue or green back in, if its red, orange or i believe yellow, only use to OAT type
