C% replacement headlight clips - What to do? What to do?

Hi Guys

Hope you're all keeping well.

A friend in need...

requires a solution. His C5 failed its MOT and needs replacement clips for the headlight bulbs. Now I bet someone is going to ask me for what bulbs? At this point I do not know.

Question is does any have any clips (all clips for both sides NS/OS) for a C5. I would doubt it is something anyone would want to sell individually so next question is...

Pair of headlights?

Failing that, a photo of the clip shape if someone has a set of headlights off a car so I can match them up visually to universal replacements available on Ebay.

Perhaps someone has experience of this already and can point me straight to a solution?

Sorry Admin but I am going to post this in Citroen forum also as it is sort of a double question! Hope I'm not breaking any rules in doing that but if I am I know you will smile kindly upon my gentle being.

You need to provide some details of what car and what type of headlights.

E.g. Is it a Mk1 (2001-2004) with fixed headlights or a facelift Mk2 (2004-2008) with fixed headlights or directional xenon headlights or even a Mk3 (2008 on)

I have Mk2 with directional xenons so might be able to take a photo if that's what you have.

It's a 2003 VTR so Mark 1 I believe. Last 8 digits of VIN are 76429325

Would I be right in reckoning that almost any Citroen or Peugeot of that year will suffice?

I lost one of mine and got a replacement from a 306 with a smashed headlight.

oh dear Mr scrap man that 306 has a smashed head lamp glass honest.gov ( or at least it has now one lump hammer later )

The whole wing was crumpled. He was going to charge for the headlight as he said it was no good without the clip until I pointed to the headlight in question.


Actually doesn't have to come from a PSA car as for a given bulb they will be universal.
