is it possible to program/re program a second hand MK1 C5 plip to a different car ????

Basically no....the chip is a write-once only affair (the car actually writes the code to the key). So, you would need to get a new chip and a new blade to make it work. Not sure where the chip is in the C5 key - might be in the blade?

Ah, in that case, should be yes. As long as the plip is paired with a working key, then you just switch on and press the lock button on the plip.
