Parking brake fault after changing disks/pads

Unread post by osx »

Had disks and pads changed yesterday and while driving back got a parking brake fault following with all the other lights ESP, ABS etc and SERVICE. Didn't notice any difference while driving. Stopped, turned engine off, restarted and only SERVICE light which went off after I drove away. Happened once more just before reaching my destination. Could it be something to do with the new disks/pads? The OBDII scanner does not come up with any errors.

It could be related, or it couldn't.... Brake light switch or underbonnet fuse box are candidates for this fault - isn't this the one you're having trouble with the gear selector not unlocking too....? Likely linked - Lexia session required!

Also anti-rolling back error with all the others. Started again this morning, no errors. Drove for 10 min and then got the same - after breaking a bit harder maybe? Will see if the dealers warranty is worth it's money ;-)

Different one this time :P

This is a manual.

What should I check in the fuse box?

After 150 miles it popped up again while I was slowing down behind a lorry on the motorway doing 15-20mph. I am sure it will be fine tomorrow but don't understand what is causing it.

Lexia....no other choice! We can speculate till the wheels fall off, but the only way to know for sure is to ask the computer what it is upset about!!
