rpo and vin

Post by darbuck »

Hi lads ive finally gotten the ecu and bsi swapped but now lexia wont auto detect and the ebayer i bought off doesnt know the vin ive now asked for reg to try to track it down so i can acces the ecu.fix one thing and find another problem. Maybe a bottle of petrol on the back seats would fix it. :rofl2: is it possible to retrieve vin and rpo using reg

You can definitely retrieve the vin from a UK reg number but I couldn't say for definite for an Irish plate.

How are you Stickyfinger.
I just need the vin so i can get into the ecu with lexia, Which wont auto-detect so i have a lexia thats as much use as a chocolate fire guard without the vin.Id rather take it back out and keep clearing faults than pay for a remap because sheckles wont allow it.

ask your local motor factors for the chassis/VIN No. from the reg No.,

as motor factors usually have the software to do this,

then post the last 8 digits on here
