bought this car a week ago and it has this intermittent problem, was not doing it when I bought it but started soon after.
Looking at the engine at tick over, it rocks back n forth ie back to front of car not sideways. When sitting in the car the driver must look like a nodding dog
as there is enough physical movement through the body work (not insured by Churchill though
)It does not happen all the time and once the car is driving along it drives sweet as a nut, very happy with her.
Have replaced the air filter as it was black, sealed a leak at thermo housing, added millers cleaner to fuel, took off vac hose from egr and plugged the pipe (no change so put back on)
cleaned MAF with electrical cleaner spray.
Timing belt and clutch, crank seal and water pump all changed last October, receipts to show for that. Has 117k on clock.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
